Helping all children find their way home
Every child deserves a place where they feel safe, loved, and cared for —wherever that may be.
That’s why we’re dedicated to helping families, children, educators, and communities by providing the knowledge and tools to guide children in safely finding their way home.
It’s our mission in Toula the Toucan Finds Her Way Home and the included digital Parent-Teacher Guide.
And there are many other ways we can make a difference!

Ways to Get Involved
Book a Special Event
I’m Maria Kostelas, and I’m passionate about children developing the skills they need to stay safe and to thrive, while having fun just being kids!
I have visited children in schools, libraries and community centers around the world, sharing Toula’s message of staying safe, being brave, and having fun. By sharing stories, making music and art and laughing together, we even put on dazzling performances for others to enjoy.
Schedule a live or virtual event with me where I use music and hands-on arts and movement activities to teach valuable lessons about safety while having fun.
Spread the Word
If you purchased “Toula the Toucan Finds Her Way Home,” tell us what you think! Share photos and videos of your kids reading the book, singing Toula’s song, or drawing their own maps. We also love to see your child’s drawings of Toula! Reviews of the book on Maria’s website as well as all social media platforms, and in your online parenting groups are also very appreciated. Don’t forget to share our website toulathetoucan.com. The more people hear about Toula and her mission, the more people can be helped by her message!

Monetary donations of any amount can make a big difference! Donors can sponsor a classroom visit by Maria, help offset printing costs for the books, donate Toula the Toucan books to local schools or community groups, and so much more.

A portion of all book sales will help support Kidpower International as they work to prevent and heal childhood trauma.
